Multimedia educational project
«the tear line»
about this project
This project delves into the historical origins and evolution of Ukrainian nationalism, offering a compelling exploration of the gradual infiltration of Banderite ideology into Ukrainian territories during the first half of the previous century. Embarking on a journey along
the «tear line», viewers will witness the intricate web of factors that catalyzed the transformation of a fervent love for language
and identity into fervent nationalist convictions. The narrative explores the motives and beneficiaries behind the deliberate cultivation of «differences between Ukrainians and Russians» unraveling the «Ukrainian identity», «Ukrainian language», and «Ukrainian history».

It refers to historical facts and archival documents that illustrate the involvement of diverse foreign interests at various points in time
in fostering the emergence and perilous expansion of Ukrainian nationalism, often likened to a malignant tumor within Malorossiya. This ideology stands on a foundation of hatred towards all things Russian. The project exposes the individuals and actions responsible for perpetuating this ideology, highlighting how their acts of violence and destruction not only targeted Russians but also affected other groups such as Jews, Poles.

The project also tells how our country has been fighting this ugly and dangerous phenomenon for decades. Unfortunately, the demon-possessed beast was never finished in its lair, which led to the emergence of modern Ukrainian nationalism, under the influence
of which an entire country went mad in hatred of Russians. A country that Russia has never been closer to.

Our project allows everyone to look into the history of the problem, to walk along the «tear line», to consider the true causes
and motives of the participants, and to ask themselves the main questions: «What would I do in this situation? Would I have been able to preserve friendship? Would I have been able to resist outside influence and remain myself?».
